    The effect of divergent jet nozzle on yarn properties in ring spinning system

    Original abstract Jet nozzle with cylindrical chamber applied in ring spinning system is a simple, effective and economical way for reducing the hairiness of yarns. In this work, some yarns were spun in ring spinning system with a divergent jet nozzle inorder to improve the properties of yarns. The yarns were evaluated in terms of CV, hairiness, thin places, thick places, tenacity and elongation. The results showed that the CV, thin places, thick places and elongation of yarns produced in ring spinningsystem with divergent jet nozzle were improved to some extent. In contract, the hairiness and the tenacity of yarns had a small deterioration. Therefore, the divergent jet nozzle is not a good component for ring spinning system in view of economy and energy.
