Hydrophobic Nanofiber Layers
Original language description
In present time the microporous membranes have the wide spectrum of applications. Today, using conventional manufacturing processes, classical natural fibers and classical finishing does not allow to produce enough comfortable clothes that will ensure these requirements. The main impact is put on the protection of outer clothing (jackets, pants, gloves), which should be waterproof and vapor permeable. Currently, simultaneously with the use of new materials, this function is very often taken by the membranes. An interesting feature of nanofiber membranes is their permeability and windresistance, unfortunately with less hydrostatic resistance. In present time the membrane based on nanofiber layer is introduced. The results show good water vapor permeability, windresistance and hydrostatic resistance.
