Published data used for development and testing of new color difference formulas and color spaces are limited in chroma. Psychophysical experiments have been carried out in which the color appearance of high-chroma color dyed textile samples were assessed using a grey scale method under daylight. A linearity fitting algorithm by the method of least squares was applied to evaluate the correlation between visual experiment data and predicted results through the CIELAB and CIECAM02 based models. The experimental data could provide references for the improvement of CIECAM02 based models of color appearance.
