The properties of fabric against challenging weather condition is very much dependent on its thermal comfort and protection against the swear weather. A lot of work has been done in past on the dimensions and mechanical properties of rib knitted fabricsbut not significant work is done on the thermal properties of knitted structures. In this article, the thermal elements such as thermal conductivity, thermal absorption and thermal resistance will be measured by using Alambeta and Permetest. Initially 100 % ribs of 12 different structures is being observed by changing the distance between there nodes and contact point. Different kinds of ribs structure used 1x1 , 1x2 2x2 , 3x4 etc. almost 12 types of ribs structures are being used to check the thermal behavior of fabric . Thickness plays a pivotal role in the thermal behavior of fabric keeping thickness constant.
