The textile technology has strong European tradition. One of the most realistic scenarios which predicted future of the European textile and clothing industry is named ?Asian dominance ? European excellence?. In point of view of the superfast innovativespiral, the European textile production needs (except advanced technology) especially the creative human potential. The European craft consists in maintaining and developing of know-how in the field of textile technology and creative textile patterning.This paper presents the work of designers ? teachers and students of the Department of Design, Faculty of Textile Engineering Technical University of Liberec. There are the designs of fabric (woven, knitted) showed. These designs connect the proposal with knowledge of trends in trendy design, advanced technology with conventional structures and materials. The examples of the art design realization in the relevant textile technology are inspirited by Eastern culture (Japan).
