Original language description
When designing parameters for the production of knitted fabrics intended for the manufacture of functional clothing it is very important to adjust these parameters in such a way so that the best desired thermal comfort can be achieved. The object of thisresearch was to determine the relationship between the packing density coefficient influenced by clearing depth and the thermal comfort of knitted fabrics made from yarns most commonly used for the production of functional underwear. Knitted fabrics forthe experiment were made in plain jersey structure from yarns of different material composition with variable clearing depth. Input material used for the manufacture of knitted fabrics were staple yarns from wool fibers, cotton and modal fiber blends and multifilaments made of polyester, profiled polyester, polypropylene and profiled polypropylene fibers.
