The article deal with the relationship between real ballistic limits of tested armor plates based on V50 velocity and overall ballistic impact performance represented by a product of fiber specific toughness and strain wave velocity U*. The author wouldlike to show some possible mathematical models that can describe as real material behavior as possible. There were tested several armor plates that can provide high-level protection against high-power rifle bullets fired from e.g. Russian Kalashnikovs orAmerican AR15 based rifles.
