Quality of new kind of yarns produced by original spinning system
Original language description
Ring-spun yarn is still considered by most producers of yarn to have ideal structure and parameters. This preference is confirmed by end-textile-product manufacturers because of the overall balance among the various aspects that determine yarn quality, making ring-spun yarns the yarns of choice for most applications. Development in yarn manufacturing is continuing and remains a challenge for most scientific teams. The new spinning system developed possesses interest from the vantage point of both quality and cost. The main aim of this article is to publish first results connected with quality analysis of cotton samples produced on Novaspin prototype equipment. Levels of structural and mechanical parameters are evaluated and the results for ?new yarns?are compared with ring-spun yarns produced classically. The outputs of experiments indicate that the quality of the ?new yarns? is comparable with that of conventional ring-spun yarn and at lower cost.
