    Surface modification of Polyamide 6 nanofibers with steam

  • Original language description

    Conventional polyamide 6 fibers were studied with steam treatment but not the nano scale one. In this study, polyamide 6 nanofibers were treated with steam under different temperatures, and the acid dye adsorption tests were carried out to exam the effect of steam on adsorption performance of polyamide 6 nanofibers. Result showed the higher temperature improved the adsorption properties of acid dye on polyamide 6 nanofibers, while FTIR and VIS spectrums showed the molecular and surface of polyamide 6 nanofibers changes happened with steam surface modification applied.
