Antifungal properties of cotton fabric with copper (I) oxide nanoparticles prepared via green synthesis
Original language description
Two antioxidants with relatively strong reducing properties, tannic acid and ascorbic acid, were used for the preparation of the cotton fabric with copper (I) oxide (Cu2O) nanoparticles from cupric ions sorbed into the cotton fabric. Different reducing power of tannic acid and ascorbic acid had an influence on the size of resulting nanoparticles and also on the resulting color of the fabric. The antifungal properties were investigated with the use of mixture of several fungi (genus Penicillium, Rhizopus, Cladosporium and Chaetomium).
