Spinnability of Poly (ε– caprolactone) using Formic Acid by Needle less and Collector less AC Electrospinning
Original language description
Needle and collector less alternating current electrospinning (ACES) is capable to achieve multiple times higher specific productivity than common needle or needle less direct current electrospinning. AC spinnable polymer solution (5%, 10% and 15 wt%) was prepared using poly (ε – Caprolactone) (PCL) polymer which is dissolved in one of the green solvents formic acid. Concentration of the polymer solution highly influence the viscosity and fiber fiber diameter. Fiber diameter is increasing with respect to increment of applied AC potential. 5 wt% of PCL was not AC spinnable due to lack chain entanglements. The polymer solutions 10 & 15 wt% of PCL was AC spinnable for 20kV to 38kV. At finally PCL electrospun was fabricated without defects using un common needle and collector less alternating current electrospinning for biomedical application.
