A review of PCM and their application in textile
Original language description
The chapter revealed a comprehensive concept of phase change materials (PCM), including their working principle, classification, modification, and application. Especially, leakage is a main problem limiting the application and life cycles of PCM in practice. The chapter revealed the most popular methods for solving the leakage, such as encapsulated micro PCMs, solid-solid PCM (SSPCM) and form-stable PCM (FSPCM). Besides, organic PCM (fatty acid and polyethylene glycol) was suitable for textiles. Additionally, the evaluation of PCM-coated fabrics was also discussed.
