Electromagnetic shielding effectiveness of metallized microfiber textile structures
Original language description
The purpose of the paper is to describe the present state of a fabrication and characterization of multifunctional lightweight, flexible and porous textile structures with significantly increased electrical conductivity suitable for shielding of electromagnetic field. First of all, electromagnetic shielding effectiveness of traditional nonconductive textile materials is introduced. Further, process of metallization of microfiber textile structure using nickel and copper is described taking into consideration chosen process conditions (such as: type of substrate, substrate pre-treatment, type of auto catalytic activation and metal salt solution concentration). Increased attention is paid to the investigation of the electromagnetic shielding ability of samples, considering the influence of individual process parameters.
