Prediction of warp and weft crimp in the construction of dobby woven fabrics

  • Original language description

This article specifically focuses on the prediction of thread crimp suitable for all types of dobby wovenfabric constructions. Herein, warp and weft crimp prediction was performed using mathematical for-mulations based on the geometric characteristics of the woven fabric structure. Prediction wasdesigned to react to the influence of all input parameters of the woven fabric construction. The theor-etical, predicted values of weft and warp threads crimp were compared with experimentally obtainedvalues for accurate size measurement of the thread crimp and were found to be reasonably consistent
