Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) Shielding Simulation of Copper Coated Polyester Woven Fabric and Shielding Effectiveness Optimization Via Porosity Adjustment
Original language description
The development of telecom technology motivated the EMI shielding material research. However, EMI shielding simulation for textile based shielding material is problematic for normal imported textile geometrical model due to the complex textile structure and limited calculation power. This paper present one possibility using optimized textile model and importing into the EMI shielding simulation environment constructed from waveguide model. The result shows good compatibility to measured shielding effectiveness (SE). The flexibility of the optimized model enables to change the parameter of the sample for optimizing the EMI shielding performance. The simulation result shows the SE at 1.5GHz increased 51.89% of the sample with 20% porosity compared to the sample with 60% porosity.
