"Piece-wise defined real functions on finite point-interval partitions of the real line are reminded, esp. the step functions. Some details are given for special cases called mean, hiccup, and ""half-continuous"" combining the formal" and geometric ways.One generalisation of usual functions to the quasifunctions sharing important continuous properties is developed. Presentation uses aggregation and pi-table structures.
