Dielectric properties of Sn2P2(Se0.05S0.95)6 single crystal

  • Original language description

Temperature investigations of the dielectric permittivity, dielectric loss, dielectric dissipation factor tan(delta), and conductivity of Sn2P2(Se0.05S0.95)6 single crystal at several frequencies are made. Measurements were realized by heating the samplein the oil medium from 293 K over the phase transition temperature to 353 K and slow cooling to room temperature. The phase transition is observed at temperature T0,c=329.10 K. The following parameters for Sn2P2(Se0.05S0.95)6 are obtained: extrapolatedCurie temperature T0=331.56 K, Curie?Weiss temperature T01=327.88 K, and T02=332.00 K, the difference T=T0.c-T01=1.22 K, what is obvious for the second-order phase transitions. Also, the Curie?Weiss temperature constants for the ferroelectric Cw,fe and paraelectric Cw,pa phases are calculated as Cw,fe=-30 708 and Cw,pa=96 154, and a ratio of Cw,pa /Cw,fe=3.10.
