Atmospheric Plasma Functionalization of Nanofiber Sheets
Original language description
The main goal of this paper is the atmospheric and low pressure plasma activation of nanofiber sheets from various polymers. Subsequently, the activated material is modified by attaching suitable functional agents, e.g. bacteriostatic, or healing promoting substances. Another aim of this study is the immobilization of a natural polymer on the surface of nanofibers. It provides desired nanofibrous structures for an interesting scaffolding material in tissue engineering applications.
