Model of water in ow to undeground space with fracture network - comparison with measured data
Original language description
Solution of groundwater problems is one of the challenges of numerical computing. The typical dificulty is complex problem geometry and material inhomogeneity in contrast with lack of field measured data. In the presented work we show examples of solution of 3D water flow problem with contrast of geometric features size, combination of 3D and 2D domains, and contrast of coefficients in the equation. The solved problem is a real site near Bedrichov in Jizera Mountains, where water in flow to a tunnel in100m depth is measured. We continue the work presented in [3] which did not include the above complex features. This study is motivated by understanding the water flow in compact rock similar to such considered for deep geological repository of spent nuclear fuel [2].
