Hospital beds are available in many categories. The mechanical positioning systems are rare in new products most of them are equipped by electrical drive for positioning. The entry level electrical hospital bed has three drives, one for positioning head-chest part of the body, second for leg area and the last one is used for control of overall high of the patient. The high level beds are used mostly on intensive care centres. There could be integrated interface for vital function monitors, or special active mattress control to prevent decubitus. On these types of bed, could be change horizontal inclination and declination. Electrical drives on these beds have other functionality. It helps nurses to handle with patient. The next feature that could be integrated into electrical controlled bed is active or passive rehabilitation move.
