A new noise protection system makes itself heard: A warp-knitted spacer textile in a composite with a nanofibrous membrane improves the sound-absorption capacity
Original language description
The sound absorption property of electrospun polyinylalcohol (PVA) nanofibrous membranes and their composites with spacer knitted fabrics were investigated. The sound absorption coefficients were measured using the impedance tube instrument based on ASTME1050?08.The results indicate that spacer knitted fabric laminated with nanofibrous membranes have better acoustical performance in the low and medium frequency range than that of spacer fabric alone. All of the results demonstrate the PVA nanofibrous membrane is a suitable candidate for noise reduction.
