Surface Properties of Low-Vacuum Plasma Modified Polyvinylidene Fluoride (PVDF) Nanofiber Membranes
Original language description
This paper aims to present the stability of microwave-inducedlow vacuum Argon plasma on polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) nanofiber web in dry and wetcondition. The contact angle, fiberdiameter and the size of the pore nanofiber webonemodified and modified in plasma were compared. The modified samples were keptin thedarkplace during 30 days, and the contact angle was measuredoccasionally. Modifiedand unmodified PVDF nanofibers were usedfor the liquid separation using a cross-flow filtration unit to test selectivity and permeability. The filtration results showed the modifiedsamples showed different selectivity. Moreover, the filtration test reslts indicatedthat the effect of plasma modification on permeability did not change while the selectivity of the membrane changed.
