Dynamics of the disease development, proportion of infected grains after the harvest and grain contamination by DON mycotoxin were studied. An important factor in chemical control of Fusarium head blight is timing of fungicide Significantly higher infection of stands was found at preventive application a week prior to the inoculation than at full anthesis or a week after anthesis. Reduced rates of fungicides exhibited in many cases good efficacy, particularly when applied at anthesis. A concentration ofDON toxin in harvested grain was reduced to a level of reduction after tebuconazole application (250 g/ha).
