Published paper is the part of the book entitled "Public Sector Transformation Processes and Internet Public Procurement: Decision Support Systems" and deals with the analysis of the factors leading to the need for implementation of new electronic toolsthat support electronic public procurement. As an example of successful and effective use of these tools in the practice of public administration of the Czech Republic is mentioned the NIPEZ system and its tool Codeset NIPEZ and the results of the defense research project EXCHANGE, which included the verification of a standardized description of the subject of public contracts through the open technical dictionary OTD, ISO 22745 and ISO 8000 and the use of this description for the public procurement processed on e-marketplaces. The book was published in the United States of America by Information Science Reference (an imprint of IGI Global), Hershey PA 17033, in December 2012.
