Presentation presents Czech approach to human safety and critical infrastructure protection. Aim of this approach is to create bridge between liberalized critical infrastructure and challenges coming from population protection needs. Czech new security research programme which is currently underway is aimed on resilient society, critical infrastructure resiliency and on the interdependences which could catch us unprepared. Paper presents results from the project 2A-1TP1/065 "Resilience of the distribution system during national grid blackout to improve safety of population" (RESPO - RESilient POwer).
