Original language description
A new holographic method for quantitative phase imaging of plasmonic metasurfaces was developed. The method benefits from emerging optical components working on the geometric phase and unlike the competing techniques effectively utilizes the leakage light coming from the metasurface as a reference wave. This enables diagnostics of optical metasurfaces in a simple common-path configuration and provides vital complement to their design process and implementation. The method is also applicable beyond the field of plasmonic metasurfaces.
