    Adhesive-cohesive strength of Cr3C2-NiCr HVOF sprayed coatings

  • Original language description

    In the presented paper the adhesive and cohesive strength of thermally sprayed coatings was investigated. Concretely, the Cr3C2?NiCr cermet coating sprayed using HVOF technology was evaluated. The bond strength, indentation fracture toughness and acoustic emission measurements were performed and their relationship was taken in to account. The results showed that the indentation fracture toughness measurement is an advantageous way for the coatings cohesive or adhesive strength determination however deeper verification is needed.
