Original language description
The mechanical and wear properties of 5 selected HVOF sprayed coatings, designed for high temperature application, was evaluated and compared in the paper: commercially available Cr3C2-25%NiCr and Cr3C2-25%CoNiCrAlY, alloys NiCrBSi and Stellite 6 and experimental TiMoCN-27%Ni. The hardness, microhardness, adhesion, abrasion resistance according to ASTM G-65, sliding wear resistance according to ASTM G-99, fretting wear resistance according to ASTM G-133 and the changes of coatings microstructures and microhardness after the exposition to high temperature is presented. The Cr3C2-NiCr proved to have the best wear properties from the group of tested coating, but it has the tendency to the inner oxidation of carbides during heat exposition. The alternativecoatings for different types of loading was suggested - hardmetals for abrasive, Stellite 6 for erosive and NiCrBSi for sliding wear conditions.
