Original language description
Design of turbine generator foundations can notably impact the configuration, construction and costs of power plants and have also direct influence on turbine generator rotordynamics. When a foundation is beign designed, the interaction between a rotor-stator system and a foundation has to be considered. Simplifications of this interaction leads to solution errors, thus the theoretical analysis is often verified by an experiment. This paper introduces a dynamic load test which can be used to identify modal properties of large, thousands of tons weighting structures using small exciters with a rotating unbalance.
