Approaches to the Fibre Modelling in a Simple Laboratory Mechanical System
Original language description
In this paper there are presented some possible approaches suitable for the modelling of the cable and fibre dynamics in the framework of various mechanical systems: force representation of a cable, a point-mass model and an absolute nodal coordinate formulation. Experimental measurements focused on the investigation of the fibre behaviour were performed on an assembled weight-fibre-pulley-drive laboratory mechanical system. This mechanical system is modeled using force representation of a cable and an absolute nodal coordinate formulation. Simulations of the experimental measurements were performed. Results obtained using simulations and experimental measurements are compared and discussed.
