    The article deals with the word-order system in Italian in comparison with English and Czech. Italian, English and Czech are presented as typologically different languages along with the principles that operate in linear arrangement of ther sentence. Word order is observed along with other FSP factors, i.e. context, semantics and intonation with the aim to prove which of them and to what extent determines the sentence perspective in respective languages.
