The RAGtime 18 workshop was held at the Institute of Physics, Silesian University in Opava, Czech Republic on October 17-19, 2016. The scientific scope of the workshop is oriented on different issues of the relativistic physics of compact objects, in particular black holes and neutron stars. A number of current problems of various astrophysical areas is addressed, such as confronting different BH and NS models with current observations. Among the main goals of the meeting is to improve our understanding of the phenomenology and interpretation of different properties of the accretion disc X-ray radiation as well as behaviour of matter under extreme conditions.
