Metaliteracy as a key competency in post-truth society
Original language description
The concept of metaliteracy also includes ethical values that are implemented when working with digital information. Information education should respond to the problems of the post-truth era. In this context, we see ethical access to information, ethical handling of data, ethical values in content creation and sharing, and ethical principles in authorship as key competencies. These requirements should be reflected in the educational process at all levels. Metaliteracy will lead especially younger generations to better manage information overload, stress, facilitate their orientation in the information space, and help them to develop the right values in finding, using, sharing and creating information.
