Relative lack of capital and possibilities to invest in many regions around the world as well as in Europe and central Europe finds its reflection in comparatively favourable conditions offered to investors. Particularly regions with high unemployment and in which transition proceeds demand outside finance resources. Industrial zones are one of possible ways to attract investors. The paper describes an establishing of industrial zones as one of priorities of the Czech government and focuses on several industrial zones in North Moravia and Silesia. All of them offer relatively prepared area for investments, including engineering network.
