Presented article examines the problem of different price level in the Czech Republic and in the European Union and its impact on the process of association of the Czech Republic into the European Union. The author means that re-approchement of price levels of the Czech Republic and the European Union by appreciating of exchange rate of CZK or rise of inflation is not possible in the long period.
