Original language description
The liberalization of national financial markets affects significantly the spectrum of the investment opportunities of investors. New chances of the international portfolio diversification opening also in the Central European Transition Countries. The comparison of the equity market returns in the Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland has confirmed characteristics, which are typical for the emerging markets. From a point of view ůof the international portfolio investment a low value of the correlation coefficients can contribute to a lower portfolio risk and be applied to the portfolio divesification.
