Original language description
This article deals with the chosen Czech capital market institutions: Prague Stock Exchange and collective investment institutions. The contemporary Czech capital market is influenced by international capital markets and by the entrance of the Czech Republic to the EU. In the introduction of this paper the author describes the short history of the Czech capital market. The main part of the article analyses the Prague Stock Exchange - its history, development, present situation and near future. The author describes the liquidity of securities (shares and bonds) that are traded in PSE. The third part of this article deals with the collective investment institutions: investment companies and mutual funds. The author compares the number of these subjects,number and assets of the main types of mutual funds (money market funds, bond, equity and balanced funds) and explains the increase of the influence of foreign investment companies, too.
