Information and knowledge is a basic resource in today's society. We are living in an information society whose economy is heavily dependent on the creation, management, processes, and distribution of information resources. Instead, the work force todayconsists mainly of workers in service occupations or knowledge workers what are people who spend most of their workday creating, using and distributing information. The application of the Process Management is not realistic without using the ICT (Information and Communication Technology). Contemporary progressive and powerful development of the ICT offers the opportunity to transform the activities of the information management. Simultaneously to the diffusion of the news what dictate the activities ofthe others structures of the company. ICT are the basic for the effective working system of the Process Management.

V dnešní společnosti jsou informace a znalosti základními zdroji. Žijeme v informační společnosti, jejíž ekonomika je sině závislá na produkci, managementu, procesech a distribuci informačních zdrojů. Současná pracovní síla je navíc složena z pracovníkůve službách nebo znalostních pracovníků, jejichž pracovní náplní je tvořit, využívat a distribuovat informace. Aplikace procesního managementu není efektivní bez využití ICT (informačních a komunikačních technologií). Současný progresivní a rychlý vývojICT nabízí možnosti transformovat činnosti do informačního managementu. ICT jsou základem pro efektivní fungování procesního managementu.
