Objects and Database Systems
Original language description
Close coupling exists between database systems and their objects. The majority of information system users have knowledge about necessity system organization of data with support database systems. Database systems apply many easy and user-benefit interfaces for correct control of existing data. Standard database objects are tables, indexes, views, synonyms, sequences, database links, and program units such as procedures, triggers, and functions. The benefit of this paper is the clear description of generally-known database terms in connection with database systems with practical examples in Oracle. The clear description contributes to the wider use of traditional database systems in small and midsize organizations with all the advantages. These advantages help to break down barriers in the area of data processing with data analysis and in using methods of business intelligence systems.
