    One of the most important global phenomenon at the present is international migration. This chapter focused on impacts of globalisation as immigration and its consequences for perceptions of European and national identity. The further aim of this chapteris to describe how the Czechs have perceived their place in Europe at the time of globalisation. Within the context of different interpretations of the Czech past in its particular periods are hinted according to the varying position of Czechoslovakia inside Europe.
