The article deals with language education at the Faculty of Business Administration in Karviná. It sets out the distinction between professional and specialized orientation in teaching foreign languages using the example of language learning at the School of Business Administration. The first part of the article describes the structure of language learning and its contents. In the second part, there is a detailed description of the teaching of foreign languages for economic purposes along with accounting for the integration of the academic-professional language in tertiary education. The third part looks at some current trends in e-learning.
