Original language description
International development cooperation of any state should contribute to poverty reduction, economic and industrial development, gradual ntegration of economies which are supported by the world economy to develop agriculture, development and consolidationof democracy and human rights, establishment of the rule of law and ultimately contribute to sustainable development along with improvement of environment and quality of life of a country. The aim of the paper is to describe the development cooperationof the Czech Republic and new member states of the European Union. The evolution of development cooperation until 2004 and its europeanization from 2004 and its europeanisation is briefly analysed. The paper also evaluated multilateral cooperation and the comparison with other new EU member states as a background of the Official Development Assistance in the European Union.
