Managerial Decision Making in AHP with High Number of Alternatives
Original language description
The aim of the article is to propose a new innovative method for managerial multi-criteria decision making in the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) framework with high number of alternatives, which is based on pre-selection of alternatives. The method significantly reduces the number of pair-wise comparisons necessary for a selection of the best alternative in standard AHP. The method is intuitive, efficient and easy to apply in many real-world multi-criteria decision making situations. The use of the method is demonstrated on an example of a selection of the best Internet provider.
