Evaluation of the Economic Levels by Angresano Criteria
Original language description
This article deals with the comparison of the economic levels of the six North African countries on the basis of macroeconomic indicators set by James Angresano. North Africa is a very interesting region, not only from a historical or political point ofview, but also in terms of economics. There are seven economies in this area: Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Morocco, Sudan, South Sudan and Tunisia. These countries are linked by a common religion (with the exception of South Sudan), but are divided by economiclevels. Given the scale of Angresano criteria, only some of states in this region were selected; South Sudan was excluded from the comparison, since it was only founded in 2011. The aim of the article is based on Angresano criteria by comparison to determine whether the economic level of the economies is fundamentally different or not. In addition to the comparative method, the article also used the methods of description and analysis.
