Original language description
Paper focuses on main economic factors of corporations' performance as important indicators of national competitiveness. Its aim is present development of those characteristics and find out whether economic performance of Czech's and Slovak's corporations tends to the best corporations. Gross investment rate, gross profit share and gross performance rate (share of gross value added of non-financial corporations to gross value added to total economy) are employed during the period 1995-2012. By means ofcointegration analysis was found out that series tends to the long-run equilibrium. However, in short-run indicators are out of the equilibrium. Two strategic documents of improving competitiveness are mentioned - past Lisbon strategy and current Europe2020.
