A Simulation Application for Educational Purposes

The paper presents an enhanced software prototype of a framework based on agent-based trading company control loop. The main purpose of the framework is to improve existing decision support systems with the use of a simulation and to contribute to teaching of managerial skills already during the education process. The Enterprise Resource Planning system (ERP) using the Resources, Events, Agents (REA) ontology approach is used as a measuring element in the framework. The system has been developed in cooperation between Silesian University in Opava, School of Business Administration in Karvina, Czech Republic and REA technology Copenhagen, Denmark. After the tests at the end of the year 2011, the prototype was presented at the beginning of 2012 for the first time.
