Measurement of dynamic effieincy of the Czech and Slovak building societies
Original language description
This paper measures efficiency of the Czech and Slovak building societies employing the Dynamic Data Envelopment Analysis within the period 2005-2014. Average efficiency calculated in assumption of CRS reach the value 62-82% and in assumption of VRS 73-94% during the last ten years. The most efficient building society was Českomoravská stavební spořitelna in both models. Average scale inefficiency for the Czech building societies was 3% and average scale efficiency for the Slovak building societies was33%. It suggests 33 % of inefficiency of the Slovak building societies is due to their inappropriate size. In CCR model the Czech building societies were more efficient then Slovak building societies, in BCC model vice versa. The Slovak building societies operate under inappropriate range of operations.
