The aim of paper is show which factors determinate the integration of immigrants from different countries in the economically, socially and culturally different state in the Central Europe. The paper analyses how Czech society accepted immigrants who wanted to preserve their national identity. The historical analysis will be based mostly on unpublished Czech archival sources.
