Original language description
The aim of the article is to demonstrate which factor is dominant for the regions of Visegrad Four with the use of factor analysis in course of period under view 2000-2013. Competitiveness as economic category is assessed at level of 35 cohesion regions within Visegrad Four countries. The article explains the possibilities of competitiveness evaluation even without the use of index approach, which is one of the most expanded instrument, to a reader. When using factor analysis practically, it is possible to gain more detailed insight into data structure and thus the reached level of regional competitiveness and economic research in the area can be assessed better.
