Border regions have problems that are reflected in their economic development, but on the other hand, for them itis characterized by a high potential that is not yet fully exploited. So there are opportunities to enhance the competitiveness of the regions and also reduce negative regional disparity against other regions. This is also one of the objectives of the European Union which focuses on the regions. It is important to focus on businesses and entrepreneurs in these regions, because their results of operations are subsequently reflected in the development of the region. Businesses in border areas have a certain advantage for working with businesses cross border minimum for territorial proximity. This cooperation is realized, but so far it seems to be inadequate, and there are still plenty of obstacles that complicate the cooperation. The aim of this paper is to show the problems faced by businesses in the Czech-Polish border and suggest possible solutions. To identify th e specific problems was conducted primary research that is evaluated using statistical methods and connected with the results of the analysis of regional disparities in border regions.
